Check documentary graphics for TV-distance viewing, not only a desktop timeline
Current creator discussions increasingly span mobile, desktop and television viewing.
Current creator discussions increasingly span mobile, desktop and television viewing. A diagram that is readable inside an editor at close range can fail when the audience sits farther from a screen or watches a smaller embedded preview.
Make the decision explicit
Choose the one message each graphic must convey. Reduce the number of simultaneous labels, use clear contrast and leave room for captions or controls. Preview the actual video on representative displays where possible. Do not convert a convenient design inset into a claim that every platform preserves the same safe area.
A worked example
For an invented scientific comparison, a chart has six colored series and a paragraph of footnotes. A clearer sequence first shows the two series needed for the argument, then presents the qualification in a separate beat. The information is not removed from the review record; it is paced so the viewer has a chance to understand it. This is different from simply enlarging every element until the frame is crowded.
Review before handoff
The 2026 platform announcements are a topic signal, not a measured search-demand result for this article or a guarantee of feature availability for all accounts. Check the current target player and test the final export with captions enabled. Preserve essential qualifications when simplifying a visual for distance.
Put the idea to work

Reference and editorial notes
