Format supplied source records into a credit draft
Turn a synthetic five-field source record into a readable, explicitly unverified attribution draft.

1. Prepare the example
Keep all five fields separated by four pipe characters. The fifth field may be empty; it is an optional HTTPS license URL.
Example photograph | Example creator | https://example.com/photo | License not yet checked |Download example input (.txt)
2. Follow the steps
Open source attribution builder- Open Source attribution builder and paste the synthetic record below. example.com is a placeholder, not a usable media source.
- Run the formatter. Check that the title, creator, supplied URL and unverified license text survive without added claims.
- Download the draft. For a real asset, replace every field from the original source and independently review its requirements before publication.
- Keep the observation date, reviewer and asset version in your project record. The generated credit text does not fetch URLs or establish permission.
3. Compare your result
1. Example photograph — Example creator Source: https://example.com/photo License as supplied: License not yet checked DRAFT — user-supplied metadata, not verified permission. Review original sources and license requirements.
This is a formatting walkthrough, not legal clearance or a license decision. Unknown license text remains unknown; filling the form does not make an asset reusable.
