Review a synthetic voice with a short, demanding passage first
A convincing voice demo may avoid the vocabulary that makes your project difficult.
A convincing voice demo may avoid the vocabulary that makes your project difficult. Before committing a whole narration, prepare a small test containing names, abbreviations, numbers and contrasting sentence structures from the actual brief.
Make the decision explicit
Write down what a correct reading should sound like, ideally with input from someone familiar with the terms. Compare pronunciation, emphasis and pauses separately. Keep a note of the voice, language and settings used. If a correction requires a provider-specific feature, verify that the selected engine supports it rather than adding unsupported markup to the script.
A worked example
For an invented science video, the passage includes a surname, a temperature, an acronym and a sentence distinguishing a hypothesis from a finding. A voice may pronounce the acronym well while placing emphatic certainty on the hypothesis. That performance still needs revision. A short test makes this problem visible without treating a pleasant tone as proof of suitability.
Review before handoff
Once approved, retain the test recording and review notes. Recheck after material changes in text or settings. Do not clone or imitate a real person without the necessary permission and a clear intended use. This is a review method, not a claim that Topicut's free planning tools synthesize voices or that every available voice is suitable for public release.
Put the idea to work

Calibrate narration pace using names, numbers and real pauses
A script containing technical names, dates and long quantities may take longer to deliver than an equally long conversational paragraph.

Estimate mixed-language narration without treating every character as a word
Mixed-language scripts can make a single words-per-minute value misleading.

Plan background music around speech, not the other way round
Background music should support the story without making narration harder to follow.
