Deliver the video, captions and source manifest as one coherent package

A delivery package should make the relationship between its files easy to understand.

A delivery package should make the relationship between its files easy to understand. Including many useful assets is not enough if the recipient cannot tell which caption revision or source list belongs to the accepted video.

Make the decision explicit

Create the package from an immutable accepted result, not from a mixture of current project files. List the video, sidecar captions, relevant source records and checksums where appropriate. Use clear names and include a brief explanation of which items are drafts or still require review. Avoid exposing private permission documents or account information unnecessarily.

A worked example

In an invented handoff, the video was approved on Tuesday and captions were corrected on Wednesday without changing the audio. The package explicitly pairs the Tuesday video with Wednesday's reviewed caption revision. A later script draft stays outside that package because it was never used in the accepted recording. This prevents a recipient from assuming every file labelled latest was produced together.

Review before handoff

Open the package after export and verify its contents, lengths and relationships. A manifest supports traceability but does not certify that every source claim or permission is valid. Use an attribution formatter to prepare readable notes from reviewed metadata, then preserve the narrower evidence and actual approval status alongside the finished deliverables.

Put the idea to work

Read render manifest and use the related free workflow tool for its stated, limited task. Neither link replaces the review described above.

Choose 720p or 1080p from source detail and the viewing task

An export resolution names a pixel grid, not the amount of original detail in the source.

Estimate video size with audio included, then measure the export

A video-size estimate should include both picture and sound and should state whether the units are decimal or binary.

Separate render-queue waiting time from processing time

A long wait before a video appears can include admission checks, queue time, asset preparation, rendering and packaging.
